A worker in California discovered a ball python left in a returned U-Haul truck. The incident raised concerns about the snake’s well-being, as many online noted it could be a valuable pet. The story was shared on Reddit’s r/WhatsThisSnake, where users identified the snake and encouraged efforts to find its owner.
Commenters suggested checking the truck’s rental history to trace the previous renter. Other ideas included reaching out to recent renters, posting on Craigslist, and using PawBoost to locate the owner.
Lost pet pythons are not uncommon; similar stories include a snake found in a car engine in Florida and one discovered in a sewer in Ontario.
