311 to Perform at Elmwood Park Amphitheater
Alternative rock band 311 will take the stage at the Elmwood Park Amphitheater on Friday as part of the Budweiser Summer Concert Series. The band’s name, according to lead singer Nick Hexum, is derived from a police code for indecent exposure, which he found appealing despite its meaning. With over 10 million records sold in the U.S., 311’s latest album, “Full Bloom,” was released in 2024, and the band is currently working on new music.
Hexum understands the importance of balancing classic hits with new songs during concerts. He shared his personal experience as a fan, emphasizing the joy of hearing beloved classics live. Each show features a unique set list, ensuring fans enjoy a fresh experience at every performance.
Recently celebrating their 36th anniversary, Hexum expressed gratitude towards their fans and highlighted the band’s commitment to preparing physically and mentally for their high-energy shows. The concert will kick off with opening band Beach Weather at 7 p.m., followed by 311 at 8 p.m.
