This marks Rossi’s first presentation in Italy and is unveiled during Milan Fashion Week, curated by journalist Federico Poletti. The exhibition, titled “Homecoming,” will be on display until October 3.

Themes of the Exhibition

“Homecoming” reflects Rossi’s Irish Italian roots and delves into themes of identity, representation, celebrity culture, and contemporary masculinity’s evolving language. Rossi emphasizes cultural shifts and generational transformations through his striking color palettes and graphic compositions that blend art, activism, and popular culture.

Artist’s Reflection

Rossi shares, “‘Homecoming’ has been an opportunity to stop and look at 15 years of work as a whole… Bringing these images together made me realize how consistently I’ve been drawn to questions of identity, representation, and the relationship between a photographer and their subject.”

Curator’s Insight

Poletti remarks, “‘Homecoming’ is both a debut and a return to one’s roots… His photography merges the language of fashion with a powerful social perspective, transforming portraits into a visual archive of a generation redefining identity, gender, and representation.”

Rossi’s work is characterized by its focus on masculinity and queer identity, featuring diverse figures from musicians, fashion personalities, actors, and activists, including Nicholas Galitzine, Lashana Lynch, Austin Abrams, and Caleb McLaughlin.

The exhibition presents a unique exploration of how personal and cultural identities intersect in the contemporary visual landscape.
