Acaster’s Thoughts
Before the season launch, Acaster expressed that the sheer number of comedians created a “concern” for him, particularly following Alan Carr’s success in the previous season. He speculated that this lineup might be scrutinized heavily due to their comedic backgrounds and potential for alliances.
“There will be suspicions that it’s going to be at least one of these guys, that we might form an alliance if we’re not broken apart,” Acaster remarked.
He went on to discuss the challenges comedians might face, particularly given the previous year’s dynamics.
“If maths turns against us we’re in big trouble,” he concluded, hinting at the statistical likelihood of a comedian being selected as a traitor.
