In 1995, Selena’s family reached a deal regarding the earnings from her entertainment legacy; now, 31 years later, brother A.B. Quintanilla is suing sister Suzette for over $1 million that he claims he is entitled to.

In the ongoing legal dispute involving Selena Quintanilla’s family, her brother A.B. Quintanilla III has filed a lawsuit against his sister, Suzette Quintanilla Arriaga, seeking over $1 million. A.B. claims that an agreement made shortly after Selena’s death in 1995 entitles him to 25% of the profits from certain entertainment ventures associated with her legacy. The disagreement centers on financial transparency, with A.B. asserting that he hasn’t received his fair share of profits and requesting a detailed accounting of the estate’s finances.

The agreement, known as the “Estate Properties Agreement,” was formed by family members, including their mother, Marcella Quintanilla, and Selena’s husband, Christopher Pérez. A.B.’s lawsuit accuses Suzette of having control over the family business, specifically two companies: Q Production, Inc. and Q Productions, Inc., which manage Selena’s legacy. A.B. alleges that he was unaware of the profits owed to him until spring 2025, when he sought financial records but received no response.

Suzette and Marcella have denied these allegations, stating that Suzette has not wrongfully taken any money or property belonging to A.B. The case highlights the complexities of managing Selena’s vast posthumous legacy and could affect how her estate is administered moving forward.
