MIDDLEBURY, Ind. (WSBT) — The Northridge Raiders are off to an impressive start this season, boasting a perfect 5-0 record. This time last year, they struggled with a 0-6 start.
In 2026, the team is under the leadership of first-year head coach Luke Amstutz. So far, the Raiders have demonstrated dominance, outscoring their opponents 244 to 93 over the first five games.
Coach Amstutz emphasizes the importance of excelling in all three phases of the game: “Competing at a high level and playing well while avoiding turnovers gives us a better chance to win. We have enough offensive weapons to compete in every game,” he remarked.
Senior wide receiver and backup quarterback Karsyn Rumfelt noted that Amstutz has instilled a winning mindset in the program. “Coach Amstutz emphasizes that it’s not just about what we do, but how we do it. We approach practice with intensity and intention, rather than just going through the motions.”
Catch the Raiders as they face off against the Plymouth Rockies this Friday night, with kickoff at 7:00 PM ET.
