Hi-Ho Lounge to Reopen as a Music Venue in New Orleans, LA | Entertainment & Lifestyle

The legendary Hi-Ho Lounge in New Orleans is set to reopen at its original location on St. Claude Avenue under new independent ownership by Mike Davis and Melissa Politte. The reopening comes almost two years after closing in October 2024. The new owners aim to restore the Hi-Ho as a community-centric venue.

They are hosting a soft opening on Friday in collaboration with the Krewe of Dolly, celebrating Dolly Parton’s 9-to-5 Day, with proceeds benefiting Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library. The official opening is on October 1, featuring various weekly events like “Locals’ Mondays” and “Game Day Sundays.” DJ Soul Sister will also revive her HUSTLE! dance party on Halloween.

Previously, the building was owned by John Hartsock and Lori Bernard, who made significant renovations post-Hurricane Katrina. Davis and Politte pledged to honor prior bookings from No Dice, the venue’s last occupant before Hi-Ho.
