According to Mundo Deportivo, FC Barcelona president Joan Laporta is set to travel to Copenhagen on September 29 and 30 for the General Assembly of the European Football Clubs (EFC). This marks a significant step forward as the club recently repaired its relationship with the European Club Association, which had been strained due to the Super League initiative.
Barcelona rejoined the EFC earlier this year, returning to a group representing around 850 clubs from 55 countries after a five-year absence linked to the Super League project. Laporta had attended an ECA meeting in Rome last October, where he was received positively.
In addition to the EFC assembly, Laporta will also attend a funeral in the Netherlands for Bartina, the wife of former Barcelona manager Ronald Koeman, who passed away on September 16. Key figures from Barcelona’s history are expected to attend the funeral to support Koeman and his family.
