Katanox, a fintech platform focused on hospitality, has formed a strategic partnership with Perk (formerly TravelPerk), enhancing how hotel bookings are managed. This collaboration aims to streamline the booking, payment, reconciliation, and settlement processes in the hospitality sector.
Perk’s expansion beyond traditional travel into a broader spend management platform is supported by a recent $300 million credit facility, and Katanox’s infrastructure will facilitate this growth. Hotel payments are currently complex due to outdated systems, often relying on virtual credit cards and manual reconciliation. Katanox addresses these inefficiencies with a more integrated system, ensuring faster payouts and cleaner settlement data for hotels, while reducing the operational burdens on travel management companies (TMCs).
Brina Wadsworth from Perk highlighted the potential to enhance the hotel booking experience for both travelers and hotels. Katanox’s payment infrastructure aims to minimize reliance on traditional card workflows, offering greater control over travel expenses for customers.
CEO Paul Beukers noted the importance of robust financial infrastructure in modern travel platforms, emphasizing that Katanox provides simplified hospitality payments that support growth and improve relationships with hotel partners.
