Community Energy Run: A Chance to Make a Difference
EVERETT—Snohomish County PUD invites everyone to join the inaugural Community Energy Run on Saturday, Oct. 3, at the Water Operations Center in Lake Stevens. This 5k run and walk aims to raise funds for the Community Energy Fund, which supports local families struggling to pay their utility bills.

“This event is about more than crossing a finish line,” said Snohomish PUD’s CEO John Haarlow. “It’s an opportunity for our customers, employees, and community members to come together and make a meaningful difference for neighbors facing financial challenges while celebrating our community spirit.”
The event starts at 9 a.m. and features a scenic route along the Centennial Trail. Participants can register until 8:30 a.m. on race morning at snopud.com/run.
Funds raised will support the PUD’s Community Energy Fund, ensuring that families facing unexpected hardships can maintain essential electricity services. This year also marks the 80th anniversary of the PUD’s Water Utility, with attendees invited to learn more about safe drinking water and explore water-related demonstrations following the event.
The Community Energy Run welcomes everyone—whether seasoned runners, casual walkers, or families looking for a fun way to give back. A special thanks to the sponsors who have helped raise over $19,000 for the Community Energy Fund, aiding nearly 100 families in need.
Join us for a day of fun, fitness, and community spirit!
