Dua Lipa recently graced the opening night of La Traviata at Teatro alla Scala in Milan, showcasing a stunning gown from Ashi Studio’s Fall/Winter 2026 haute couture collection.
The dress was striking, with a body-hugging silhouette crafted from sheer organza adorned with intricate intarsia embellishments, resembling whimsical amoebas. It featured short cap sleeves, a high neck, and a subtle train, cinched by laces at the back. A standout detail was a knot-like black embellishment on one shoulder, decorated with twisted vines and feathers, evoking a thorn bush.
Complementing her outfit, she carried a chic black Gancini clutch from Ferragamo and sported dark eye makeup to enhance the gothic, romantic vibe.
This gown made its debut during the Ashi Studio 20th anniversary show themed “A Different Skin,” which drew inspiration from surrealist Salvador Dalí, Renaissance art, and the glamorous Ball of the Century. According to creative director Mohammed Ashi, the collection reflects a “warped kind of historicism.”
While glamorous balls may no longer exist, Dua Lipa’s appearance at the opera perfectly demonstrated how exquisite designs like Ashi Studio’s can still shine on modern stages.
