Best Friends Fur Ever has launched a new Pet Food Pantry to assist families facing financial hardships by providing temporary food assistance for dogs. Initially serving Harford and Baltimore counties, the program will collect donated dog food to distribute through nonprofit and community partners.
Mary Steinebrunner, president of Best Friends Fur Ever, emphasized the importance of keeping pets with their families, noting that a temporary setback shouldn’t lead to surrender. The pantry accepts unopened bags of dry dog food, canned food, and treats.
Donations can be made at Best Friends Fur Ever locations in Cockeysville and Joppa during regular business hours (6:15 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.). For more information and donation guidelines, visit bestfriendsfurever.com/pet-food-pantry.
