The Lincoln County Animal Shelter in Kentucky is temporarily closed after rescuing 87 dogs and 16 cats from a severe hoarding situation. Wanda and Radford Brock have been charged with animal cruelty following the discovery of animals confined in unsanitary conditions, including feces-filled crates and barns with no airflow.
The shelter is currently overwhelmed, as it only has space for 43 dogs but had to take in nearly 100 animals. Many rescue organizations are stepping in to help care for the animals.
The shelter urgently needs donations of food, litter, and water bowls. They encourage pet owners to seek help before situations escalate and emphasize the importance of spaying and neutering pets. For more information on how to donate or volunteer, people can visit the shelter’s Facebook page or their Amazon wishlist.
