National Hurricane Center Tracking Invest 99-L
WPBF 25 First Warning meteorologists are currently monitoring Invest 99-L in the eastern subtropical Atlantic Ocean.
Invest 99-L Update
According to the National Hurricane Center (NHC), showers and thunderstorms are becoming more organized several hundred miles southwest of the Azores. A tropical depression is projected to form later Friday or on Saturday.
The system is expected to move slowly over the next couple of days, remaining southwest of the Azores before turning to the southwest by early next week. However, environmental conditions are forecast to become less favorable for development starting Sunday night or on Monday.

- 80% over the next seven days
No impacts are anticipated in Florida at this time.
