New Children’s Museum Set to Open in Strasburg

A new children’s museum, Ready. Set. Pretend!, is set to open later this year in Strasburg at 300 Historic Drive. The museum will occupy a spacious 7,600-square-foot facility previously home to Wiley’s Pharmacy, which closed in 2022.

The museum promises a variety of engaging attractions for kids, including:

  • Birthday party rooms
  • An exploratory construction site
  • A camping site
  • Various pretend shops
  • A “hospital nursery” where children can care for stuffed animals

Owner Jim Bland, who also owns the Hershey Children’s Museum, plans a family-friendly environment featuring quiet spaces and designated areas for families to bring lunches and snacks.

The grand opening is scheduled for Friday, November 20, with operating hours set as follows:

  • Mondays to Wednesdays: 9:30 a.m. – 6 p.m.
  • Thursdays to Saturdays: 9 a.m. – 7 p.m.
  • Sundays: 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.

Admission prices will be $18 for children ages 2-12, $8 for children ages 1-2, $12 for adults (13+), and $10 for seniors (56+).
