Altered TCG Returns with Print-on-Demand Options
Altered TCG is making a comeback, as its entire card collection is now available for order as print-on-demand products, including two previously unreleased sets.
This revival is part of a new partnership between Equinox, the game’s publisher, and Twilight Dimension, Inc., the company behind the Forgefire tabletop gaming software. The collaboration will allow players to purchase Altered TCG cards via the Forgefire Connect platform, making it easier for both existing players and newcomers to engage with the game.
Full Collection Available
Players can access the full card collection, including standard and foil options, in multiple languages.
Why Was Altered TCG Discontinued?
Equinox had initially discontinued Altered TCG in early 2026 due to adverse market conditions. Launched in February 2024, Altered TCG quickly became a successful crowdfunding campaign, leading to four additional sets and a dedicated player base at major events. The new print-on-demand model aims to give the game a second life.
Christian T. Petersen, CEO of Twilight Dimension, expressed enthusiasm for the partnership, stating, “We are thrilled to work with Equinox to make this beautiful game available to the thousands of players that continue to play, as well as to new players looking to enter the world of Altered.”
In addition to cards, Equinox will utilize Forgefire’s technology to offer customizable Altered TCG playmat designs. Both cards and playmats are now available via Forgefire Connect.
About Equinox
Equinox, an independent French collectible card game studio founded by Régis Bonnessée (previously of Libellud, the publisher of Dixit), aims to revitalize Altered TCG. “So much love and care was put into this game, and so many fans remain loyal and engaged,” said Régis.
With the shift to print-on-demand, fans can continue enjoying the game without relying on traditional print runs, simplifying access to the expansive card pool for new players.
