Service Dogs Train at Albert J. Ellis Airport
Service dogs and their handlers recently participated in a hands-on training session at Albert J. Ellis Airport in Jacksonville, Onslow County. The event, organized by Paws of War Eastern North Carolina, allowed the teams to practice navigating various airport scenarios, such as elevators, stairs, and the terminal itself.
The airport officials emphasized the importance of this real-world training, as it helps service dog teams travel with greater confidence. Paws of War plays a vital role in supporting veterans, first responders, and their families by matching them with specially trained service dogs. Albert J. Ellis Airport expressed its pleasure in hosting this important training event.
