Oklahoma prosecutors have charged Darci Lambert and Jorden McGuire with first-degree murder and animal cruelty following the tragic death of their 2-year-old daughter, Locklynn McGuire, who was found dead from a dog mauling.
According to reports, police discovered the child deceased on November 18, 2025, after a 911 call. Four dogs were removed from the home, with three, including the suspected attacking pit bull, showing signs of severe malnourishment. Notably, Locklynn had been treated at OU Children’s Hospital just 12 days before her death after being attacked by the same dog.
District Attorney Vicki Zemp Behenna stated that the parents’ “complete disregard” for their daughter’s safety contributed to her tragic demise. Both parents are currently held on a $1 million bond and await arraignment later this month.
