It’s hard to believe that it’s already been eight years since Justin and Hailey Bieber first said “I do,” in a secret New York City courthouse wedding. Time flies!
In photos shared by Justin, the couple celebrated their anniversary on a trip to the mountains, enjoying gondola rides, playing games of pool, and taking in the beautiful scenery. They looked cozy and in love, with Justin sporting a light-blue beanie and beige sweatshirt, while Hailey wore a brown suede jacket.
“8 years until infinity,” Justin wrote in his heartfelt message. “New beginnings. I love you, baby, happy anniversary.”
Officially, the Biebers tied the knot in 2018, just two months after their engagement announcement on Instagram. However, they didn’t celebrate with family and friends until a year later in South Carolina. Justin’s YouTube docuseries, Seasons, provided fans with a behind-the-scenes look at their 2019 wedding ceremony, including the story of the proposal.
Justin reminisced, saying, “She just walked down the stairs, and I was just there with the ring. I was shaking, saying, ‘I’ve loved you for so long, and I just can’t see myself being with anybody else. I love you so much and I want to spend the rest of my life with you. Will you marry me?’”
And as they say, the rest is history.
