Good Deal!
“This Girl’s Got Game” was the theme of a fabulous debutante celebration for Grayson Madeleine Eppling, hosted at Monkey Hill on Magazine Street by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Irvington Joseph Eppling Jr., Vivian and Chappie. Party planners Vivian and her sister Marguerite created a glamorous atmosphere described as “Where glamour meets high stakes and every hand is dealt with style.”
To emphasize the casino theme, decorations featured poker chips, decks of cards (especially the queen of hearts), dice, heart-themed fascinators, and more. Grayson’s monogram and party date were displayed, enhancing the festive vibe alongside leopard print throw pillows and mood lighting.
Grayson wore a poppy maxi dress from Showpo, accessorized with a vintage gold brooch and heart fascinator. Mom Vivian matched with a red dress and similar fascinator, while Dad Chappie sported a red seersucker jacket and a deck of cards tie. Guests embraced the “casino chic” theme, contributing to a memorable atmosphere captured by Riverview Photography.
Delicious nibbles included sliders, fries, charcuterie, and themed cookies, paired with signature cocktails: “The Grayson,” a French 75 adorned with edible flowers, and “The Franny,” a “dirty Shirley.” A Spotify playlist featuring favorites like “Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This)” added to the ambiance.
Unique party favors included a mini art vending machine by Shannon Muller, cups and coasters with “Girl Got Game,” and more. Grayson expressed her gratitude, stating the celebration beautifully reflected her personality, allowing her to enjoy time with family and friends—including her grandmothers, Monica Heigle and Patricia Eppling. Despite her dog Franny not being there, a large cut-out of her was present, making the day a royal flush of fun.
True Blues
“Dance Away the Summertime Blues” set the stage for a vibrant event, crafted by Caroline Morrison of CaroDesign Morrison, featuring floral designs and a cosmopolitan cocktail. The debutantes—Brooke Habetz, CC Johnson, Ellie Patin, and Paige Ready—were celebrated by their families in stylish summer cocktail attire.
The venue was adorned with projections of the invitation design, while blue flowers and lighting contributed to the atmosphere. Party favors included branded hats and glow sticks, ensuring guests experienced the theme fully.
Mothers and daughters flaunted fashionable outfits from designers such as Lovers + Friends and Oscar de la Renta. The dads matched in white linen suits, adding to the elegant ensemble.
Family and friends mingled, enjoying the signature cocktail “Something Blue” and delightful dishes like fried oysters and mini beignets. Attendees from various families created a lively environment where connections crossed, enhancing the sense of community and celebration.
As the night progressed, the Bucktown All-Stars provided delightful music, inviting the debutantes to the stage for energetic renditions of “Sweet Caroline” and “Don’t Stop Believing.” The engaging atmosphere, complete with a dance line for “Love Train,” solidified a night of joyous celebration for all.
