About Animal Rescue New Orleans
Animal Rescue New Orleans (ARNO) is a nonprofit, no-kill shelter that has been serving the Greater New Orleans area since 2006, founded in the wake of Hurricane Katrina. Initially focused on rescuing pets left behind during the disaster, ARNO has evolved into a permanent lifeline for abandoned and homeless animals.
