Kimberley Gardiner Appointed Chief Marketing and Growth Officer at The Vitamin Shoppe

The Vitamin Shoppe has recently appointed Kimberley Gardiner as its Chief Marketing and Growth Officer. She will report directly to CEO Sharon Leite and become an integral member of the company’s executive leadership team.

Gardiner brings a strong background in health and wellness, influenced by her early life experiences and her mother’s emphasis on self-care. In her role, she will manage brand strategy, creative initiatives, performance marketing, e-commerce, customer relationship management (CRM), and public relations.

“I’ve always been passionate about health and wellness,” Gardiner noted in her statement to Marketing Daily. She expressed enthusiasm for the retail environment, emphasizing her desire to enhance customer experiences and adapt to the fast-paced nature of the industry.

Gardiner’s focus will be on leveraging customer insights and data to boost brand relevance, customer acquisition, and loyalty. Additionally, she will collaborate closely with merchandising teams and brand partners to elevate product storytelling and introduce innovative wellness trends.

CEO Sharon Leite praised Gardiner’s proven track record, highlighting her ability to rejuvenate established brands and turn customer insights into measurable growth. With the company preparing to celebrate its 50th anniversary, Leite affirmed the opportunity to strengthen customer trust while adapting to modern wellness consumer needs.

Gardiner succeeded Muriel Gonzalez, the former Chief Marketing Officer who retired in August. Before joining The Vitamin Shoppe, Gardiner served as CMO at Tractor Supply Company, overseeing marketing efforts for over 2,400 locations. Her previous roles include CMO at Volkswagen of America and senior marketing positions at Mitsubishi Motors North America and Kia Motors America, following a successful 15-year tenure at Toyota Motor Sales USA.
