Montana regularly attracts celebrities, and recent sightings have stirred up excitement among locals. Recently, two stars captured attention in Big Sky Country.
Jason Momoa Performs in Bozeman
Jason Momoa, well-known for his role as Aquaman, visited Montana during Labor Day Weekend with his band Öof Tatatá. On September 5th, they played at the Armory Music Hall in Bozeman. Momoa joined his friends, Mike Hayes and Kenny Dale, to perform several songs. His love for rock and metal music makes it exciting that he was spotted playing electric bass, a fitting choice for the star who has previously performed in Bozeman as well.
David Lee Roth Guitar Shopping
In a different sighting, David Lee Roth, the former frontman of Van Halen, was seen at Music Villa in downtown Bozeman. Roth browsed for new guitars and ended up purchasing one. Imagine stepping into a local music store, only to find a rock legend picking out instruments nearby!
While Momoa and Roth enjoyed their time in Bozeman, I spent my time elk hunting near Choteau, hoping to spot another celebrity like David Letterman, who owns a nearby ranch. Unfortunately, I didn’t find an elk or the famous talk show host!

Montana has become a hotspot for celebrities seeking adventure, making it unpredictable who you might run into next. Perhaps next weekend, I’ll relax in Missoula and keep my eyes peeled for someone like Dave Grohl at a local shop.
