Livewire Launches Ads by Livewire in Canva App Marketplace
Sydney, Australia — Livewire has introduced Ads by Livewire, marking the first gaming integration in the Canva App Marketplace and enabling Canva’s 265 million users to easily create and launch advertising campaigns within popular games.
Streamlined Gaming Advertising
The integration aims to revolutionize gaming advertising, making it more efficient and accessible. Marketers can leverage their existing Canva designs, select their target audience, budget, and location, and activate campaigns without navigating away from the platform. Previously, gaming advertisements were often executed through managed campaigns requiring custom deals and extensive negotiations with publishers, but Livewire’s self-serve model allows campaigns to go live in just one day.
Creating Campaigns
Users can start with existing designs or create new ones before accessing Ads by Livewire. They can choose their preferred ad format, specify their audience, geographic location, and budget, and preview their creative assets within actual gaming environments before submitting for review.
Currently, Ads by Livewire supports two ad formats: in-game billboards and interstitial banners, with plans to introduce more formats by early 2027.
Enhanced Audience Targeting
This integration opens the door for marketers to reach gaming audiences across mobile, console, PC, and TV. Livewire’s Gamer.ID technology emphasizes privacy-safe audience targeting by utilizing real gameplay behaviors instead of inferred interests. The ads will be placed within curated gaming environments reviewed by Livewire, avoiding user-generated content.
Executive Insights
Indy Khabra, Co-Founder and Co-CEO at Livewire, highlighted the importance of this integration: “Behind every player is a consumer, and that consumer matters to every brand category. Whether you run a global brand or a local pizza shop, you can now reach that audience with designs you create in Canva. That has never been possible before.”
Bryant Lee, Global Head of Partnerships and GTM at Canva, emphasized the efficiency of the process, stating that marketers can create a single asset in Canva and publish it directly to gaming platforms without additional production steps or teams. He described this as Canva’s all-in-one creative ecosystem in action.
Expanding Canva’s Ecosystem
The launch enhances Canva’s existing open ecosystem, which already integrates with platforms like Meta, TikTok, and LinkedIn. Livewire stands out as the first partner to bring gaming advertising into the marketplace.
Livewire plans to further promote this integration by sponsoring the Canva World Tour, which will include a dedicated Design School video guiding users on converting Canva designs into gaming ads.
Ads by Livewire is now available globally through the Canva App Marketplace, providing users with a novel avenue to extend their creative work into gaming environments.
