Kitchen Fire Displaces 12 People and Pets in South Milwaukee
SOUTH MILWAUKEE, Wis. — A kitchen fire displaced twelve residents in South Milwaukee on Tuesday.
Fire officials responded to the home near 17th and Rawson avenues at approximately 12:40 p.m. Multiple departments worked to control the blaze, which was extinguished by 12:54 p.m. Fortunately, no injuries were reported; however, one individual received treatment for a laceration on site.
The homeowner indicated that the fire affected eight adults, four children, and several pets. The American Red Cross is providing assistance to those displaced.
The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
