High Point Village in Lubbock is set to commence a new residential community aimed at providing independent living for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This initiative is backed by a $100,000 donation from Lubbock Caprock AMBUCS, which was raised during their annual Caprock Classic basketball tournament. Additionally, an anonymous foundation matched this amount, leading to a total investment of $200,000 for the project.
A groundbreaking ceremony will be held on Tuesday, September 15, at noon, located near County Road 6300 and North Milwaukee Avenue. The event will involve local officials, families, and community members celebrating this significant development.
