Geek Week PDX 2026: A Celebration of Nerd Culture

David Raycroft, a Portland resident, initiated Geek Week PDX in 2024 to explore the city’s geek culture. This year marks the third anniversary, and it promises to be bigger than ever with over 100 events spread across more than 140 small businesses.
What to Expect
- 101 Events: An increase from 70 last year, showcasing diverse activities.
- Adventure Hubs: Now 10 locations hosting three or more activities.
- Projected Growth: Anticipating up to 30,000 participants.

- Geeking Hour: Kick off the week on September 10 with a happy hour at Hey Love, celebrating local businesses.
- Sneaky Sasquatch PDX: An art hunt from September 11-20 featuring mixed-media installations by over 25 artists.
- Citywide Fantasy Fest: On September 13, enjoy the opening celebration with vendors, live entertainment, and special guests.
- Warrior Princess Bash: A benefit event on September 19, inspired by female heroes.
