Aaron Donald Will Not Travel for Season Opener

Los Angeles Rams standout defensive tackle Aaron Donald will not travel to Australia for Thursday night’s season opener against the San Francisco 49ers, as announced by head coach Sean McVay.
The Rams aim to give Donald additional time to prepare for his return after two seasons of retirement.
“He’s attacked this the right way, but it would have been a really quick turnaround,” McVay commented.
Donald initially retired in March 2024 but returned to the team on August 30, participating in individual drills but not engaging in 11-on-11 practice until September 6.
