Two-alarm blaze ravages residence in Seneca; several pets remain unaccounted for.

Two-Alarm House Fire in Seneca, NY

SENECA, N.Y. — A two-alarm house fire erupted Monday night in rural Ontario County, though fortunately, no injuries were reported.

According to the Seneca-Castle Fire Chief, the emergency call was received around 7:10 p.m. regarding the blaze on Ferguson Road in the Town of Seneca. Firefighters arrived to find flames shooting through the windows, rendering the house a total loss.

One resident and several pets were inside the house at the time. Fortunately, the resident and some pets managed to escape, but others remain unaccounted for.

The Red Cross is assisting the homeowner while investigators work to determine the cause of the fire.
