Hannibal’s annual steampunk festival concluded with its much-anticipated pet parade and costume contest. This year’s top prize was awarded to Valkyrie Rose for her elaborate steamship costume for her dog. Defending champion Sandra Cox and her dog, Lily, secured second place with matching outfits that featured pet collars as ruffles.
Cox embraced the runner-up position, acknowledging the creativity behind the winning design. She expressed no intention to shy away from future contests, emphasizing her passion for crafting unique costumes for pets and their owners. “I will keep coming as long as I can keep creating,” she stated, encouraging more participation in the whimsical event.
