Kingsley, a Sapsaree, recently became Gyeongsan’s first “Good Pet” by joining a donation program that helps support pets in vulnerable households. This initiative, run by the Community Chest of Korea’s North Gyeongsang branch, encourages pet owners to donate at least 20,000 won ($15) monthly in their pets’ names.
Kingsley, who lives with Kim Han-a and her husband Paul Zilkha, has a notable background, having appeared on a television program and even has his own YouTube channel. The couple decided to participate in this program to give back to the community and share the joy Kingsley has brought to their lives.
The initiative highlights the importance of pets in charitable giving and aims to inspire other pet owners to contribute. Gyeongsan Mayor Cho Hyeon-il noted the symbolic significance of having a native breed like the Sapsaree participate in community support efforts.
Through this program, the community hopes to foster a culture of generosity that benefits both people and pets.
