Exciting Weekend for Art Lovers at D.C.’s Art All Night Festival

This weekend, Washington, D.C. is set to come alive with creativity during the Art All Night festival. The event, which celebrates the culture and community of the city, is organized to take place from 7 p.m. to 3 a.m. on both Friday and Saturday nights across various locations throughout the city.

Highlights of the Festival

Nia Stevens, who is orchestrating events at the Potomac Avenue East location, shared her excitement about the lineup, which includes:

  • A sip and paint session for attendees aged 21 and over
  • Live performances including local rapper K Bay and the band Black Alley
  • Family-friendly activities like dancing, cotton candy, and a Spades tournament
  • A special Griot Trail Ride, enabling participants to explore the neighborhood’s history uniquely

Stevens described the events as a “personal love letter to Southeast, D.C.” and emphasized the festival’s focus on community involvement.

Festival Growth

Since its inception in 2011, Art All Night has expanded significantly, starting with 30,000 attendees and growing to around 250,000 last year. It’s regarded as one of the District’s biggest cultural celebrations, showcasing events across all eight city wards.
