Atlus may eventually remake Persona 1 and 2, which is exciting, but the PS2-era Shin Megami Tensei titles are readily available.

Atlus’s producer Kazuhisa Wada hinted in a recent interview that remakes of Persona 1 and 2 are likely in the future, highlighting the importance of cultural preservation in gaming. While Persona titles have evolved, with social links introduced in Persona 3, both Persona games deserve recognition.

Originally released on the PlayStation in 1996 and 1999, these titles have been reissued but not extensively updated. Many argue for more polished re-releases rather than full-scale remakes, emphasizing the value of preserving gaming history.

While there are discussions about remaking these titles, fans are also eager for remasters of beloved PS2-era Shin Megami Tensei games, such as Digital Devil Saga and Shin Megami Tensei 4, which remains a Nintendo 3DS exclusive. Atlus is urged to prioritize these reissues to make them accessible to a wider audience.
