This initiative allows passengers to bring one small dog or cat, provided that the pet and its carrier weigh no more than 10 kilograms combined, at a fee of 2,500 pesos for a one-way flight.
Key Guidelines:
- Age and Carrier Specifications: Pets must be at least 12 weeks old and completely weaned. They need to be transported in soft-sided carriers measuring no more than 45 x 25 x 28 cm, allowing enough room for the animal to stand, turn, and lie down.
- Travel Regulations: Pets cannot be removed from their carriers during the flight. Dogs must wear diapers, and cats require absorbent pads. Feeding during the flight is not allowed, although water is permitted.
- Documentation: Passengers must present four documents at check-in:
- A signed declaration and waiver
- A veterinary health certificate dated within five days of departure
- An anti-rabies vaccination certificate
- A local shipping permit from the Bureau of Animal Industry
Fleet and Capacity:
- Aircraft Restrictions: Only selected aircraft types, including De Havilland Dash 8-Q400 turboprops, Airbus A320s and A321ceos, certain A330s, Boeing 777s, and Airbus A350s, are eligible for this service. Most aircraft can accommodate only three pets per flight, necessitating advance bookings at least 48 hours before departure.
