“I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!” Returning to US with Maura Higgins as Host

Maura Higgins, a former star from Love Island, is making waves in the US by hosting the upcoming reboot of I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here, scheduled to air on Peacock next year. Partnering with Rob Rausch, an American TV personality who appeared with her on the US version of Traitors, this role marks Maura’s significant expansion into the American entertainment landscape.

This reboot represents the third attempt to launch I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here in the US. Earlier versions aired in 2003 and 2009, but neither gained traction. Produced by ITV America, the show will require celebrities to face challenges in the wilderness alongside friends or family members, with a grand prize of $100,000 for the winning duo. Unlike the UK version, there will be unique twists, such as celebrities not being in charge and relying on their partners for support.

The show’s synopsis emphasizes the physical and psychological trials the contestants will endure, stating that they’ll need to lean on each other while navigating the difficult environment.

Additionally, Maura is set to compete in the next season of Dancing with the Stars, furthering her presence in American reality TV.
