Soyeon, the leader of K-pop girl group (G)I-DLE, is set to make her first solo comeback in over five years with the release of her full-length solo album, “What a Wonderful Life,” on Monday at 6 p.m. This album revolves around the theme of leaving a job and features eight diverse tracks, including the lead single translated to “I’m Quitting My Job,” which discusses themes relatable to many office workers.
Soyeon has contributed significantly to the album as a co-writer and co-composer on all tracks. The music includes various genres such as rock, hyperpop, and disco. Notably, the song also features narration by Kian84, a well-known cartoonist and TV celebrity. In the press release, Soyeon emphasized the importance of prioritizing happiness in the present, even while considering a stable future.
Her last solo release was the EP “Windy,” in July 2021.
