ITV has announced a new spin-off series titled I’m a Celebrity… The Wild Frontier, set in the Canadian wilderness, scheduled to premiere in 2027 on ITV1 and ITVX. This new format will feature celebrities competing in pairs—either two celebrities, a celebrity with a family member, or a close friend—who will undertake challenges and eat together as a team.
Ant McPartlin highlighted that this series will bring innovative gameplay and surprises, while Declan Donnelly emphasized that familiar elements from the Australian original will be retained. The dynamic of pairs living and competing together promises to add depth to the show’s format.
Katie Rawcliffe, ITV’s entertainment director, explained that the series will showcase stunning Canadian locations, emphasizing the unique dynamics of competing as a duo. Chantal Boyle from Lifted Entertainment expressed excitement for the show’s dramatic potential and spectacular setting.
Additionally, the companion show I’m a Celebrity… Unpacked will return on ITV2, airing directly after the main episodes and available across various platforms.
