  • The FurPAL program is available on all domestic flights, with a one-way fee starting at P2,500.
  • This initiative targets travelers who see pets as family members and prefer to keep them close during their journeys.

Philippine Airlines (PAL) is enhancing its pet-friendly travel services to cater to passengers who consider their pets part of the family. This move reduces the need for separation during flights.

The airline announced that its FurPAL program now allows small cats in addition to dogs in aircraft cabins on all domestic flights. Passengers can bring one small dog or cat on board for a one-way fee of P2,500, adhering to specific requirements and guidelines.

Expanded Coverage

The expanded policy now offers cat owners an opportunity for in-cabin travel, broadening a previously dog-centric service.

PAL emphasizes the growing importance of companion animals in modern family life, encouraging pet owners to include their animals in trips for vacations, family visits, or reunions.

By allowing pets to remain with their owners, PAL aims to enhance the travel experience, providing greater comfort and peace of mind.

Safe in Pet Carriers

FurPAL permits one small pet per passenger, provided that it is housed in a pet carrier not exceeding 46 cm x 32 cm x 20 cm, and with a combined weight limit (pet and carrier) of 10 kilograms.

Travelers must comply with the airline’s booking requirements and pet travel guidelines. For further details, travelers can visit philippineairlines.com or contact PAL’s official channels.

Service Feature for Domestic Flights

The FurPAL expansion is part of PAL’s commitment to enhancing passenger services, covering 29 domestic destinations from its Manila and Cebu hubs. The airline also services 40 international destinations across Asia, North America, Australia, and the Middle East.

Founded in 1941, PAL is the only full-service network airline in the Philippines. It was recognized by aviation analytics company Cirium for having the highest on-time performance among Asia-Pacific carriers in 2025 and joined the oneworld Alliance in 2026.
