I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! set for US reboot

Maura Higgins, known from Love Island, is taking a significant step in her career by hosting the upcoming US reboot of I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here, set to air on Peacock next year. She will share hosting duties with Rob Rausch, who appeared alongside her in the US version of Traitors. This will mark the third attempt to launch I’m a Celebrity in the US, with previous versions not lasting long.

Produced by ITV America, the show will feature a unique twist: celebrities will compete alongside a civilian friend or family member to tackle physical and psychological challenges in the jungle, with the winning team receiving a $100,000 prize. There’s currently no confirmation on whether the series will film in Australia, a traditional location for the original UK version.

Higgins is also set to participate in the upcoming season of Dancing with the Stars, adding to her growing presence in the US entertainment scene. The excitement for her new role in I’m a Celebrity highlights her transition from dating reality TV to hosting a competitive format.
