During the holiday weekend, the Georgia Department of Public Safety (DPS) is monitoring traffic incidents. As of 6 a.m. Saturday, there has been one fatality in a pedestrian accident in Fulton County. The DPS has reported:
- 85 DUI citations
- 71 distracted driving citations
- 120 seatbelt citations
- 27 total crashes, with only one fatality
In these crashes, five people were injured, and five involved drivers under the influence. One crash also involved a commercial vehicle. Updates will follow as more information becomes available.
