Water Wars Return to Punxsutawney for Labor Day Celebration | Entertainment

The Elk Run Volunteer Fire Company is hosting its fourth annual water war on Labor Day, Monday, September 7, starting at 4 p.m. Assistant Chief Josh McAfoos encourages participants to get ready with their garden hoses or any water source to battle the firefighters, who will be on trucks using low-pressure water. The event will proceed rain or shine and is seen as a fun way to conclude the summer and strengthen community ties.
