Maura Higgins has secured the role of host for the revamped US edition of I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! on Peacock. The 35-year-old TV personality rose to fame on ITV2’s Love Island and will co-host alongside Rob Rausch, her co-star from Traitors US, as reported by The Sun.

Higgins previously participated in the UK version of I’m a Celebrity in 2024, where she finished seventh.

In addition to her hosting duties, Maura is also set to lead a reboot of Blind Date for Disney+. Angela Jain, head of content for Disney+ EMEA, expressed confidence in Maura’s ability to pull off the role, highlighting her humor and background in reality dating TV.

The original Blind Date, hosted by Cilla Black, aired from 1985 to 2003 and was revived in 2017 with Paul O’Grady. The new version, filmed in Mexico, will retain elements of the classic format while allowing contestants to spend a summer together after choosing their matches.

As Maura continues to rise in prominence in the U.S., she has also participated in shows like Dancing with the Stars. She previously mentioned that being part of this Latin and ballroom dance competition was a long-held goal.

Her ambitions for future projects in America remain high, as she teased that this may be her last stint as a contestant.
