A lawsuit has been filed against celebrity hairstylist Frédéric Fekkai and his companies in New York State Court, where seven women allege that he enabled Jeffrey Epstein’s abuse. The women describe Fekkai as a “perks machine” for Epstein, supporting his exploitation of young women for over 15 years, while Fekkai benefitted financially.
The plaintiffs claim that without Epstein, Fekkai’s brand would not have thrived, emphasizing the connection between Epstein and the success of Fekkai’s products, which appeared in major retailers like Victoria’s Secret. They assert that Epstein directed Fekkai on how to groom victims’ appearances, alleging that he bleached their hair and styled them to resemble dolls according to Epstein’s preferences.
The plaintiffs are seeking compensatory damages and a jury trial. Fekkai’s media representative has denied the allegations, asserting that he was unaware of Epstein’s actions and had not participated in any illegal behavior.
Earlier in the week, Fekkai was mentioned by Rep. Thomas Massie as someone who should be investigated for ties to Epstein. This follows testimony from Sarah Kellen, Epstein’s former assistant, who claimed she was abused by Fekkai, though he vehemently denies her accusations.
Fekkai, who opened his first salon in 1989, built a prestigious hair care brand that has undergone various acquisitions and partnerships, with current sales estimated near $35 million. His brand is available at Ulta Beauty and Amazon, among others, and he operates a salon in New York.
