Dany Scorpio, a Cameroonian blogger and media activist, recently visited the Imam Reza (AS) shrine’s museums in Mashhad during the Islamic Unity Conference. He explored significant sites, including the Gifts Museum dedicated to Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei and the Carpet Museum.
Scorpio, representing African society, was intrigued by Islam’s transformative role in a century of turmoil. He aims to present a positive image of Mashhad to African audiences, highlighting its rich civilization beyond just its status as a pilgrimage site.
Reflecting on his childhood perceptions of Iran as impoverished and associated with terrorism, Scorpio noted that his visit has reshaped his understanding of the country and its cultural heritage.
