Solar Energy Presentation in Marquette, Michigan
MARQUETTE, Mich. (WLUC) – A non-profit organization in Michigan hosted an informative session aimed at local business and non-profit leaders about the advantages of solar energy.
The event, known as Solarize Marquette, was organized by the Great Lakes Renewable Energy Association and took place at the Peter White Public Library. Attendees, including business owners, non-profits, schools, and places of worship, learned about the benefits of solar energy and had the opportunity to purchase a solar energy plan directly at the event. Those who attended received a 5% discount, with an additional 1% discount for each extra attendee purchasing a plan, capped at a total discount of 15%.
Marshall Clabeaux, the Michigan Solar Communities Project Director at GLREA, emphasized that investing in solar energy is a wise financial move. He stated, “It’s the most reliable, fastest source of energy to bring online. As we transition to a renewable energy economy, solar energy is going to be the most affordable and also some of the most reliable energy that you can produce yourself on-site.”
For those unable to attend the presentation, Clabeaux noted that they can still consider purchasing a solar project through the GLREA’s website.
