Pets of the Week – September 3, 2026
The Pets of the Week are available for adoption at the Lowndes County Animal Shelter, located at 337 Gil Harbin Blvd. in Valdosta. The shelter is open noon to 4 p.m. Tuesday to Friday, and noon to 3 p.m. on Monday and Saturday. For more information, call (229) 671-2760.
Adoption Fees:
- Dogs: $80
- Cats: $55
All animals undergo the following care before adoption:
- De-worming
- Flea treatment
- Nail trimming
- Ear cleaning and treatment for ear mites
- Initial vaccinations (first set of shots)
- Spaying or neutering
- Vet examination
- Rabies vaccination
- Microchip ID and registration
