Travel Tech organized a Start-Up Meet-Up featuring Velocity Ventures to facilitate connections and discussions on building investable travel technology companies, underscoring the sector’s focus on fostering start-up growth and attracting investment.
This week, the Travel Tech Association (Travel Tech) hosted its August Start-Up Member Monthly Meet-Up with Nicholas Cocks, a partner at Velocity Ventures. They discussed strategies for creating strong, investable travel technology companies in an AI-driven and fragmented market.
The program, titled “Building Investable Travel Tech in a Fragmented, AI-Driven Market,” focused on how founders can adapt their companies to changing market dynamics, including geopolitical shifts, AI innovations, evolving traveler behaviors, and new expectations from buyers and investors. This conversation was based on findings from Velocity Ventures’ 2H 2026 Strategy & Investment Outlook Report, providing Travel Tech’s Start-Up Members with insights into how investors assess opportunities in the travel tech sector.
Before the meet-up, members had the chance to submit questions for Nicholas Cocks and the Velocity Ventures team. Their insights addressed key issues relevant to early-stage travel technology companies.
