Pet food company Golden Pet Brands seeks banking support for its initial public offering, according to sources.

Golden Pet Brands Plans IPO

Golden Pet Brands, the owner of Dr. Marty Pets, Badlands Ranch, and Ultimate Pet Nutrition, is reportedly preparing for an initial public offering (IPO) in New York, potentially valuing the company at over $1 billion. The company is collaborating with investment banks such as Morgan Stanley and Barclays for this listing.

The El Segundo, California-based firm, founded in 2017 and spun off from Golden Hippo, operates two U.S. manufacturing facilities and specializes in pet food, treats, and supplements. Notably, Dr. Marty Goldstein, a veterinarian with celebrity clientele like Oprah Winfrey, backs Dr. Marty Pets, while actress Katherine Heigl and actor Rob Lowe are associated with their other brands.

In recent developments, the company appointed Apu Mody as CEO and John Meloun as CFO. This IPO comes as several other retail companies, including Jersey Mike’s and Reformation, have gone public recently.
