U.C. Davis Intercollegiate Athletics has partnered with CBS News & Stations to broadcast at least five football games this season on KMAX-TV (Channel 31). This station, which already features local sports from teams like the Sacramento Rivercats, will provide free broadcast coverage of Aggie football across Northern California, reaching areas from Yuba City to Modesto.
Scott Warren, President and General Manager of KMAX, expressed enthusiasm about making these games accessible to fans, highlighting the community’s long-standing support for the program. The first game will occur on September 19 against the Stetson Hatters, with the series concluding on November 21 against the Cal Poly Mustangs.
Rock DeLuca, U.C. Davis’ Director of Athletics, emphasized that expanding the reach of Aggie football is a priority, and this partnership will help connect with alumni and attract more fans. KMAX is available on various cable and streaming services, and U.C. Davis football games can also be streamed on ESPN Plus.
