An Alabama man, Lance Michael Beck, has been charged with multiple serious offenses, including sexual abuse and human trafficking, related to the long-term sexual abuse of a minor. In an attempt to evade prosecution, he traveled to Thailand. The allegations came to light when the victim disclosed the abuse in July 2026, prompting an investigation.
Upon execution of a search warrant at Beck’s home, he was not present but communicated with officers via a doorbell camera. Law enforcement made unsuccessful attempts to reach him, leading up to his departure for Thailand on August 25. His travels included a layover in Seoul, and he has not secured a return flight. Investigators traced his banking activity to Thailand shortly after his arrival and observed social media posts confirming his location. Beck is currently considered a fugitive.
